Respiratory failure symptoms
The mechanism consists of introducing (inspiration) and removing air from the lungs (expiration) at certain intervals (respiratory frequency) and in certain pre-determined quantities. The objective is to deliver oxygen to the cells, replacing or partially assisting the patient’s normal breathing.
Mechanical ventilators can be of two types: invasive and non-invasive. The former are used in patients who require intubation or have a tracheotomy and are usually in a more serious situation. Non-invasive ventilators are used in patients with a mask that is applied to the nose, mouth or both, and who present a milder clinical situation.
Unlike other respiratory therapies, the ventilator can deliver very high oxygen levels and can also provide end-expiratory pressure (EPP) to help keep the lungs open so that the pulmonary alveoli do not collapse.
When dealing with an acutely ill patient, ventilators are used in hospital Intensive Care Units (ICU) and operating rooms. They are also used in ambulances, medical helicopters and emergency services.

Pulmonary rehab works best if you start it before your disease becomes severe. However, even people who have advanced lung disease can benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation.

Exposure to air pollution over a prolonged period of time can increase respiratory infections and symptoms of respiratory disorders, such as coughing. In the case of air pollution, the symptoms of respiratory diseases can be increased by exposure to air pollution.

What is Aerosol Therapy? Aerosol therapy is the therapeutic use of certain medications previously reduced to aerosols. Inhaling them allows the medication to penetrate deeply into the respiratory tract. It produces a certain local action and is thus absorbed by the organism.
Aerosol therapy can be used to treat respiratory diseases such as asthma or COPD or to treat respiratory infections such as pneumonia. An aerosol is used to reduce the medication to a mist that is inhaled by the patient, thus initiating the treatment.
